It's Time to Start Thinking About the Bike Swap!

- What is the Bike Swap?

It's YOUR chance to get rid of that beautiful (but dusty) machine that's been sitting in your basement for the last 15 years OR to pick up a great, used bargaincycle that's already been looked over by an experienced mechanic. Whether you're looking to sell a bike or buy a bike, it's the best opportunity around to do both or either!

-When and Where is it?

It'll be on a beautiful spring weekend (the 18th and 19th of May) at S&W Sports in Concord. Sunshine is gauranteed... probably.

-How can I sell or donate my bike?

Bicycle donations are accepted at S&W Sports anytime that the store is open.

Consignment sales require slightly more rigamarole. Bring it to S&W on the 16th or 17th from 11am to 7pm, and NAME YOUR PRICE! 75% of the sale price will go to you and 25% goes to CNHBC. Be careful not to get too greedy, though! Bike swap shoppers are looking for deals, and they know a rip-off when they see one. There will be a few bike mechanics on hand to look over bikes to make sure they are safe (not to give it a full tune up). Unsold bikes need to be picked up on May 19th, from 1-5pm. CNHBC is not responsible for abandoned bikes.

-Where does the money go?

GREAT question. CNHBC is an entirely volunteer organization, and all of the proceeds are put to community engagement activities. Check out some of our activities below, and if you feel inspired get involved with some of them! It's a great group.

-How can I help?

Well, for starters you can print and distribute some posters, or post-cards to get the word out. Or even easier, post something on Facebook or Twitter to generate some buzz. If you're really dedicated, you can volunteer. Shoot an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We have been working on some exciting projects, and 100% of our proceeds are returned to the community!
